All-black clothing brand Turn Black has opened a by-appointment studio and store in South Delhi’s up-and-coming Shahpur Jat area. The store houses the brand’s latest collection and will host cultural events.
Turn Black has opened its first brick-and-mortar location in South Delhi’s Shahpur Jat, the brand announced on its social media on September 5. The studio and store has a minimalist white interior with simple metal furnishings which, filled with the brand’s all-black ensembles, creates a striking aesthetic.
The store launched with the brand’s latest womenswear collection. The collection features a range of simple and versatile pieces such as the 'Black Mirage' Chanderi silk co-ord, 'Midnight Flame' linen bodice, 'Sojourn' loose top, and 'Primavera' gathered dress.
The store will also be a space in which the brand can hold events. The first of which will be 'In Black Sessions', which will be “a stage for creative minds to come and express themselves,” according to the brand’s social media.
Nutan Dayal, Robin Chanda, and Amit Singh Chauhan came together to launch Turn Black in 2018. The brand, as its name suggests, sells only black clothing and aims to de-stigmatise the colour in Indian fashion. The brand also retails its men’s and womenswear from its dedicated e-commerce store.
