Turn Black holds Ludhiana pop-up
today Oct 7, 2019
All-black clothing brand Turn Black held a pop-up store in Ludhiana from October 5 to 6 at the city’s Hyatt Regency hotel. The pop-up launched the brand’s new collection “Untamed” in the city.
Turn Black hosted its first ever pop-up in Ludhiana on Wednesday and Thursday as the up-and-coming brand continues to build its customer base across India. The event launched the brand’s latest collection Untamed and gave Ludhiana’s shoppers their first chance to shop the brand offline.
Untamed, Turn Black’s autumn/winter collection, features the brand’s signature all-black colour palette and relaxed silhouettes. Textures give the garments dimension and chanderi and embroidery, also in black, add subtle detailing.
The brand has also released a new campaign featuring a number of creative women in various artistic fields. Rock climber Prerna, illustrator Pia, tattooer Shyamli, music producer Zainab, and artist Swati each model the brand’s clothing in their own way and share the story of their creative journey.
Turn Black was founded by Nutan Dayal, Robin Chanda, and Amit Singh Chauhan in 2018 with the aim of creating elegant black clothing and breaking the stigma surrounding the colour in India.
The brand retails a range of women’s and menswear and recently opened an appointment-only studio-store in South Delhi’s Shahpur Jat district where it has begun hosting a number of cultural events.
