Sartaj Mehta, who has over 20 years experience in the fashion retail industry, joins Turms as its new chief product officer, ET Bureau reported.

As well as having worked for Pepe Jeans, Mehta has also worked for fashion brands including Benetton Group, Allen Solly, ColorPlus, Wills Lifestyle, Zovi, and John Players. Mehta will lead Turms’ design and supply chain sectors, as well as working to drive growth.

“Sartaj has been instrumental in setting and scaling up brands, as well as building youth, ladies and kids wear categories,” said Turms’ CEO and co-founder Rameswar Misra about the appointment.

“As Turms rapidly expands its product range and presence, Sartaj will play a pivotal role in our growth journey.”

Turms was founded by Rameswar Misra and Rohit Gupta as an online-first clothing label in 2016 and retails a range of clothing that uses nanotechnology during the production process to make it stain and odour resistant as well as fast-cooling.

The brand’s product range currently includes t-shirts, leggings, and jeans.
