Trident Ltd Q2 net profit jumps 13 percent to Rs 234 crore
Textiles major Trident Ltd reported a 13 percent rise in its net profit to Rs 234 crore ($31.3 million) for the quarter ended September 2021, as against Rs 106 crore it reported in the year-ago period.
The company’s revenue for the quarter rose by 44 percent to Rs 1,692 crore, as against Rs 1,174 crore it reported in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
Commenting on the performance, Rajinder Gupta, chairman at Trident Group, in a statement said: “We have continued the positive momentum from the previous quarter and delivered the best performance in the second quarter. The company is committed to embark inclusive growth for all its stakeholders and continuing to excel in future.”
During the quarter, the company also launched its new e-commerce website to strengthen its domestic market presence and expects strong online sales in the coming quarters.
Trident is one of the largest players in the home textile space in India. It currently has around 400 points-of-sales across the country and plans to further expand its retail presence by doubling its point-of-sales next year.
