Tressmart founder launches multi-brand beauty e-commerce platform ‘Glow’

Beauty entrepreneur, Sargam Dhawan Bhayana, has launched ‘Glow by Tressmart’, as a multi-brand beauty e-commerce store positioned in the premium-to-luxury section of the market.

New e-commerce store Glow launched last week and has dedicated sections for ‘skincare’, ‘makeup’, ‘bath and body’, and ‘tools and accessories’. Featured brands from both India and abroad include Dot and Key, Ayca, Petal Fresh Pure, Footlogix, Thalgo, Bomb Cosmetics, Paul Penders, Ohria, Kal Hans, Myra Veda, Bema Cosmetics, Face Rituals, Stylpro, Perenne, and Luxaderme, among others. 
 
“This difficult period has really pushed us to do more and be more creative,” Bhayana told Elle India, about why she decided to launch Glow.

“I have always been inclined towards beauty that led me to bring brands like Dafni, Stylpro, and Paul Penders to India. I guess launching my own e-commerce platform was inevitable. In June 2020, I launched India’s first online destination [Tressmart]… solely catering to haircare products and appliances. This further led me to research and see what more I can do. It was then when I noticed that while there were many e-commerce platforms offering beauty products, I didn’t find any that were offering only premium and luxury beauty.”
 
The store has a strong focus on vegan beauty products. Bhayana, who is also director of vegan beauty brand, Paul Penders India, has concentrated on products which have proved popular during India’s lockdown, especially skincare.
 
“There is this whole wave talking about the new normal and the post-Covid-19 era, to which I feel… e-commerce will continue to take the forefront as people are still paranoid about this pandemic,” said Bhayana, about the future of the beauty market.

“The beauty industry will of course continue to grow and will resume to almost normal however, the foreseeable future seems to be predominantly focused on digital presence and online retail.”
