As Torani continues to expand its distribution network, it has launched its new collection at Aza in Bandra, the boutique announced on its Facebook page. Torani launched a collection featuring sheer layers, embroidered sarees, and floral patterns. With a colour palette of red, navy, and white, the nostalgic collection also features polka dots and striped borders.

“Amongst the many blessings in disguise, what the lockdown gave me were conversations,” Torani’s founder and designer Karan Torani wrote about his design process on his brand’s Facebook page.

“The intimacy of keeping a personal check on all of my friends, that free time in the day when you… talk about almost everything under the sun. A large part of Dopahar for me has been about celebrating the return of that personal time, of slowing down and finally enjoying conversations with the people I love.”

As well as launching its latest collection, Torani has launched a capsule collection of rainbow hued bangles designed to celebrate the anniversary of the Indian Supreme Court’s decision to legalise same sex relationships on September 6, 2018. The brand encouraged its customers to champion equality on its Facebook page as it celebrated the landmark ruling.

Torani launched womenswear and menswear lines in 2018 and forayed into children’s wear in 2019. In February 2020, Torani opened its first flagship store in Khan Market, New Delhi and also retails from its dedicated e-commerce store.
