TOI’s Fashion Fiesta holds eleventh anniversary fashion event in Jaipur
The Times of India’s Wedding Times Fashion Fiesta held its eleventh edition in Jaipur on May 18 at the Kingston Lawn Hotel Holiday Inn. The evening of runway shows featured an array of bridal wear and ARCH student collections.
Designer Achal Dey presented a traditional and occasion wear collection on the Fashion Fiesta runway and models included television personality Samiskha Jaiswal and celebrity model Sangeeta Gharu. The Times of India reported that the event drew around 300 guests from across India. The runway shows were choreographed by Abhimanayu Singh Tomar and actress Saba Khan also walked the runway as a showstopper.
The event saw ARCH students showcase both fashion and jewellery collections on the runway. Fashion design students presented garments inspired by the idea of sustainable design including an all-white collection of floaty handloom textiles. The jewellery showcase followed with students using a variety of materials including aluminium and copper to play with shapes and create conceptual pieces.
The runway show also featured an announcement that ARCH College of Design and Business will hold the upcoming Fashion Colloquia design showcase in Jaipur from January 25 to 29, 2020. The event has been hosted by educational institutions across the world including in Milan, London, and New York.
The Wedding Times Fashion Fiesta was held in partnership with City Vibes, the footwear brand The Walking Company, the talent scouting business Style Skool, and the events planning business Party Popperz.
