Titan Ltd expects strong jewellery sales during festive period
Titan Ltd is expecting a record-breaking festive season, which is free of any Covid-19 restrictions this year and predicts strong sales for all categories especially in the jewellery segment.
The company has launched several new collections this festive season and expecting a surge in sales during the Diwali festival weekend.
“With this being the first post-pandemic 'normal' Diwali, people are expecting to celebrate a "no holds barred" festival this year. Tanishq (Titan’s jewellery brand) is anticipating and targeting strong growth, despite the high base of a record-breaking festive season last year, and we are not sparing any efforts in new launches, marketing, and promotions,” Ajoy Chawla, CEO jewellery division at Titan Company Ltd told Fashionnetwork.com.
Following two years of disrupted wedding seasons, Titan is confident that this year will bring strong jewellery sales without any significant disruptions. Although gold prices are high, an end to pandemic restrictions and pent-up demand are expected to counter this.
“Our stores and teams have prepared well to welcome large numbers of customers this weekend, to serve them with a smile. We also expect this festive season will see significant wedding purchases for the season to follow Diwali and have stocked up stores with adequate and appropriate Rivaah merchandise to serve all communities,” he added.
The jewellery division of Titan contributes 85 percent of its revenue, and the segment grew by 18 percent in the second quarter of this financial year.
