Titan Eye Plus strengthens retail presence with 100th store in Tamil Nadu

Titan Eye Plus has strengthened its retail presence in the southern state of Tamil Nadu with the launch of its 100th store in the state.

The new store is located at Pondy Bazaar, Chennai and spread across an area of 1500 sq ft. The brand offers a range of innovative products from its in-house and international brands.

Commenting on the launch, A R Srinivasan, chief sales and retail officer of Titan’s eyewear division in a statement said, “With the launch of the Pondy Bazaar store in Chennai, we have hit the 100th store mark in Tamil Nadu and are heading rapidly towards our plan of 1000 stores across 400 plus cities. Through our expertise and experience, we have strived to reach more consumers in Tamil Nadu and provide them with the best services in eyecare.”

The company sees huge potential for growth in the eyewear segment and plans to open around 300 more stores during the year.

 Additionally, Titan plans to invest around Rs 50 crore ($6.7 million) to strengthen the backend, for manufacturing, and supply of frames and lenses.

Apart from the exclusive stores, Titan’s eyewear is also sold in more than 7000 multi-brand outlets where it sells frames and sunglasses.
