Titan enters overseas market with its first Tanishq store in Dubai

The Indian luxury goods company Titan Ltd has entered the international market with the opening of its first overseas Tanishq store in Dubai.
 

The new store is a part of the company’s expansion plan outside India and will cater to international customers and non-resident Indian (NRI) communities in the UAE.
 
The 2000 square-foot store is located in Meena Bazaar and will house a range of gold and diamond jewellery.

Commenting on the store opening, C K Venkataraman, managing director at Titan Company, in a statement said: “It’s a milestone for the company as we are excited to bring the iconic Tanishq brand to Dubai, our first exclusive boutique outside India. With the commencement of our operations in Dubai, we see the brand being accessible to international customers and NRI communities.”
 
Kuruvilla Markose, chief operation officer of Titan’s international business, added: “We are truly honoured and excited to be bringing our exclusive range of exclusive collections to Dubai. The Covid-19 pandemic was unprecedented but times like this urge us to be more aware and turn crisis into opportunity. Our ability to adapt has already buoyed us in India. With our differentiated designs, unmatched customer service, and gold safety standards, we are looking forward to kick-starting our operations in Dubai.”
 
Titan Ltd is one of the leading players in the jewellery, eyewear, and watches segment with over 1,800 stores nationally for all its brands. The jewellery division recorded an income of Rs 3,446 crore ($463.2 million) for the July-September quarter.
