Titan Ltd strengthens its leadership team with two new key appointments

Tata Group-owned Titan Ltd has strengthened its leadership team with the two new key appointments in the finance and human resources teams.
 

The company has appointed Ashok Sonthalia as its new chief financial officer and Swadesh Behera as chief people officer, effective July 1, 2021. Sonthalia will replace S Subramaniam, who retired from Titan with effect from June 30.
 
Commenting on his appointment, Sonthalia in a statement said: “It’s an absolute honour and privilege to be a part of Titan, a company I have long admired for evoking trust and transforming consumer retail experience in India. I am looking forward to working with the team here on executing its strategic growth plans in India as well as in select international markets.”

On his appointment, Behera added: “Looking forward to working with the team whose continuous endeavour has been to build a strong leadership pipeline, future capabilities, an inclusive culture to propel the growth aspirations and making Titan as an employer of choice.”
 
Sonthalia is a seasoned chartered accountant with around 30 years of in diverse industry verticals, while Behera is an experienced HR leader with rich experience in HR strategies.
