Charles Lewis Tiffany is the man behind the famous phrase "New York Minute" and the iconic watch and jewelry company Tiffany & Co., which on Thursday officially unveiled its new watch collection inspired by the founder.

Also taking its inspiration from New York itself, the collection "reflects the cadence of modern life from the streets of New York to every pulsating point on the globe," the company stated.

In addition, the CT60 is inspired by a Tiffany & Co. gold watch that was given to President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1945, and the new collection features watches for both men and women. Among them is a stainless steel watch with a self-winding mechanical movement, blue soleil finishing and silver poudré numerals, and an 18-karat rose gold calendar watch.

Tiffany is also launching the Tiffany East West, a rectangular chronograph in stainless steel and a black, white or blue dial.

As Forbes so poignantly summed it up in article published on Thursday: "Three years ago, the brand embarked on a long journey – one in which it has built its own watch headquarters in Switzerland and has built an entire new collection of Swiss-made, Tiffany & Co. watches. Those watches made their official debut in stores earlier today."

Prices start at $4,250 for the CT60 and $3,500 for the East West.
