The PDKF Store is run by Princess Diya Kumari’s daughter Princess Gauravi Kumari and French designer Claire Deroo and works with women around Jaipur to create clothing and accessories including hair-bands, pouches and charms made from fabric offcuts. The initiative generates employment for local women with the aim of enabling them to improve their quality of living. The brand has launched its new clothing line with a shop at The City Palace Jaipur and online on its e-commerce store.

“The women of the Princess Diya Kumari Foundation are the driving force behind the store's collections,” the brand’s co-founder, Princess Gauravi Kumari of Jaipur, told Vogue India.

“The objective is simple- through our work we hope to give them the resources, skills, and knowledge to help pave their way to economic and overall empowerment.”

The brand is also currently donating profits from its sales to the PDKF initiative ‘CoAid’ which is providing home-cooked meals to families affected by the pandemic and lockdown measures around Jaipur.

Last week, CoAid distributed meals to people admitted to the RUHS Hospital and daily wage workers in numerous locations, the PDKF announced on Facebook.
