The Man Company opens store in Kashmir, plans four more store openings this September
Men’s personal care business The Man Company has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Kashmir and plans to open new stores in Ghaziabad, Jammu, Amritsar, and Lucknow as part of its retail expansion plan.
The Man Company plans to expand its omni-channel distribution network to reach over 100 cities with a presence in over 10,000 stores by the end of 2022, the brand announced in a press release on Tuesday. The Man Company’s newest store opening in Kashmir features its range of haircare and skincare products, as well as its signature beard oils among other items.
“After establishing a concrete mark on the men's grooming industry, we aspire to initiate a more personalised model of communication by launching more physical brand outlets,” said the brand’s co-founder Bhisham Bhateja in a press release.
“It will help us cater to the grooming needs of our new-age customers more seamlessly while also strengthening their connection and engagement with the brand. The Indian men’s grooming and personal care industry is estimated to grow tremendously in the future and we plan to be at the helm of it. In short, we intend to start a grooming revolution among men.”
The brand will open four more stores this September and continue its focus on tier 2 cities. Each store will feature a team of ‘beauty advisors’ who are trained to advise customers on the right grooming products for their personal habits and tastes.
“As our latest course of action, we have partnered with leading hypermarkets, supermarkets, and organised pharmacies working towards men’s grooming and personal care regime,” said Bhateja. “We are now expanding offline with more new retail outlets… We are expecting 2X retail growth from new openings as channel expansions are chiefly responsible for our thriving business.”
The Man Company currently has over 1,200 retail outlets in 75 Indian cities. The brand has a retail presence in multi-brand stores including Spar, Walmart, Shopper’s Stop, and Lulu, among others.
