On 22nd April, Alfred Dunhill welcomed the city’s sophisticates to the much-anticipated opening of the new Hong Kong Home. At this exclusive event, distinguished guests had a privileged first glimpse of what promises to be Hong Kong’s leading lifestyle destination.

Part of a unique global concept, the luxurious Homes of Alfred Dunhill enable customers to become part of the Alfred Dunhill legacy – to be invited ‘home’ as a welcome guest of the brand. Spread over three floors in the prestigious Prince’s Building, the new home offers a range of consummately British menswear and accoutrements. It is also distinguished by unparalleled services that reflect the Alfred Dunhill commitment to distinction. These include a bespoke tailoring service, a fine wine reserve by Berry Bros & Rudd and Alfie’s restaurant and bar by KEE.

Guests at the opening event were invited to explore their new Home, taking in unique displays created especially for the night. Art aficionados appreciated the stone sculptures that capture a truly British moment - a small bulldog straining to get to his master, an elegantly dressed gentleman holding a red ball. A projection show transformed the texture of the Home’s exterior façade, providing a revolving visual feast for guests and passersby alike. Images of vintage motor vehicles, classic architecture, elegant pinstripes, fine leathers and accessories all mingle to tell the story of British style.

Further entertainment was provided by talented DJ Simon Pang on the Ground Floor, while the Mezzanine rocked to the beats of DJ Mark de CliveLowe. A master magician promised to add a touch of mystery with his baffling sleights of hand. Gentlemen with a more laidback approach to R’nR could retreat to the men’s corner on the First Floor to enjoy a friendly game of darts or test their prowess on the pool table.

No British bash would be complete without ample sustenance and Alfred Dunhill guests were fed and watered in style. Event sponsors Black River Caviar provided 500 grams of black caviar for the most refined of palates, while canapes draw inspiration from Alfie’s menu of honest British fare, including traditional treats such as chicken pie and prawn cocktail. The Home’s signature drink, King’s Cooler, provided a taste of the classic cocktails on offer at the bar.

Celebrity appearance rounded off an evening that embodied the Alfred Dunhill love of luxury and attention to detail – an evening that would not soon be forgotten. Renowned Taiwan artist Mr. Chun Wu was dressed in Alfred Dunhill’s latest collection; Best Actor of 29th Hong Kong Film Award Mr. Simon Yam appeared in Alfred Dunhill twill safari blazar, twill chino, pocket square, shagreen belt and cream brogues, together with his wife Mrs QiQi Yam who appeared in Chloe linen jacket with Swarovski paved lapel from Spring 10 collection; and famous local pop singer Mr. William Chan appeared in Alfred Dunhill grey marble short sleeve shirt with jeans and high top trainer.
