The Haat to hold fashion fairs in Kolkata, Bhubaneswor

Fashion exhibition The Haat will hold summer themed shopping fairs in Kolkata in May and Bhubaneswar in June. The business-to-customer fair will present a range of women’s traditional wear and accessories brands. 

From May 12 to 16, The Haat will present a wide selection of occasion, traditional, ethnic, and fusion wear in Kolkata at the city’s Ice Skating Rink in Ballygunge, the event organisers announced on Facebook. The five-day fair will also feature ethnic jewellery, sarees, and handicraft items. 
 
The Haat will then travel to Bhubaneswor for a ‘Summer Look Book’ event from June 10 to 11. The event will feature a similar product selection to its Kolkata edition with numerous local brands added to the mix. 

The Haat is designed to celebrate Indian craft heritage and promote domestic brands to an audience of premium shoppers to help them reach new audiences. The event organisers hold fairs across India and focus on small and medium sized fashion and lifestyle brands. 
 
This year, The Haat celebrates 10 years in the events industry, according to its website. This year, the event has already taken place in Kolkata four times and 2022 saw editions take place in Hyderabad. Raipur, and Indore among other locations.
