The Body Shop opens new kiosk in Lucknow

UK-based personal care and cosmetics brand The Body Shop has opened a new kiosk in Lucknow. Located in the city’s Lulu Mall, the new branded stall retails a selection of The Body Shop’s makeup, skincare, and body care ranges.

“Explore the world of ethical skincare and sustainable beauty at The Body Shop, now open at Lulu Mall Lucknow,” the Lulu Group mall announced on Facebook.

By opening a kiosk, The Body Shop is able to reach shoppers in Lucknow with a smaller investment than what would be needed to open an exclusive brand outlet. The kiosk also builds brand awareness and directs shoppers to discover more online, where The Body Shop retails from its India-specific e-commerce store.

The Lulu Mall kiosk launched with The Body Shop’s ‘English Rose’ range of moisturisers and perfumes as well as its multi-shade ranges of concealer and foundation, hemp serum, and Vitamin C range among others. Gift baskets and product sets are also available.

The Body Shop first entered India in June, 2006 in partnership with Quest Retail Private Limited and opened five shops in India that same year. The brand currently retails in India through its dedicated e-commerce store, on a number of multi-brand e-commerce platforms, and through its stores and kiosks across the country.

The Body Shop was launched by Anita Roddick in Brighton, UK in 1976. The brand is known for its anti-animal testing stance and has lobbied against the practice as well as promoting sustainable and ethical business practices.
