The Body Shop names Shraddha Kapoor as its new brand ambassador
Shraddha will be replacing Jacqueline Fernandez as the new face of the brand in India. The UK-based Body Shop is hoping that the growing popularity of the actress and mass connect with the audience will help expand its consumer base in the country.
“We're so excited to introduce Shraddha Kapoor as The Body Shop India's new face! Her passionate commitment to human and animal rights alike not only makes her our inspiration, but also the perfect person to represent our brand,” The Body Shop said in a statement.
Commenting on her association with the brand, Shraddha Kapoor added, “The brand I use, love and recommend in a heartbeat. A brand that believes that everyone is beautiful and fights for a greener, kinder, better world every day. I’m so excited to be the brand ambassador for The Body Shop India.”
The Body Shop entered the Indian market way back in 2006. It considers India as one the fastest growing markets as it is already among the top markets for the company in terms of sales.
The Body Shop currently has 175 stores across the country and also sells online through its own website and other e-commerce platforms.
