The Body Shop’s new Activist Makeup range is now available in India, Elle India reported. The product line is made from ethically sourced ingredients, of which 95% are of completely natural origin. Products in the new range include a 20 shade foundation line, concealers, face bases, primers, brow products, and lip products among others.

As part of the promotions for its new range, The Body Shop will hold an ‘Activist Workshop’ event in its store in Indore’s Phoenix Citadel Mall on April 11, the mall announced on Facebook. The interactive event is designed to engage shoppers and educate them on sustainability in beauty. The session will begin with a media interaction followed by an exclusive influencer event.

Entrepreneur Anita Roddick launched the Body Shop in Brighton, UK in 1976 with the aim of using personal care products as a force for sustainability and ethical consumption. The brand first entered the Indian market in June, 2006 in partnership with Quest Retail Private Limited and opened five shops in India that same year. The brand currently retails in India through its dedicated e-commerce store, on a number of multi-brand e-commerce platforms, and through its stores across the country.
