Direct-to-consumer skincare and wellness brand The Ayurveda Experience has raised Rs 50 crore ($6 million) in a funding round led by Anicut Capital.

Sharrp Ventures (Mariwala Family Office), Singularity Ventures and others also participated in the funding round.

The brand will utilise the funds to expand its retail presence in domestic, international markets, research & development, and technology.

Commenting on the funding, Rishabh Chopra, founder CEO of The Ayurveda Experience in a statement said, “The funds will be deployed to enter new geographies and expand our base in existing markets, they will also be used to enhance the group’s R&D, supply chain and manufacturing strength. A significant amount of investment will also go towards technologies that will personalise the experience for customers on the platform.”

Dhruv Kapoor, Partner at Anicut Capital added, “The Ayurveda Experience being one of the main players will surely make leaps in success with the team they have, and this fundraise will help them to reach the deeper markets of the country. The Ayurveda Experience offers traditional beauty and wellness products Besides India, the brand claims to have a strong presence in the USA, Canada, and Australia with over 600,000 customers.
