The Haat schedules new shopping fair for Kolkata in May

From May 6 to 9, fashion and lifestyle shopping fair The Haat will showcase brands from across the country in Kolkata for a ‘Summer Look Book’ edition at the Kolkata Ice Skating Rink. 

The business-to-customer event plans to provide Kolkata’s residents with a one-stop-shop for summer fashion with garments ranging from traditional wear to ethnic wear and western wear, the event organisers announced on Facebook. The majority of participating brands will be in the bridge-to-luxury segment if the market and the event aims to attract affluent shoppers of all ages. 
 
Featured product categories will include fine jewellery, sarees, party wear, handloom weaves, ready-to-wear, home décor, accessories, children’s wear, skincare, and gift items, among others. The event will also feature a selection of bridal wear for summer weddings as well as trousseau items and wedding gifts. 

The event aims to give brands f across India a platform from which to reach new customers in the Kolkata area and increase brand awareness. It also aims to give shoppers the chance to discover new brands with an emphasis on handmade and heritage products. 
 
The Haat runs numerous shopping events around Kolkata and held its most recent edition from April 5 to 6. The event was a, “huge success,” the event organisers announced on Facebook.
