The business-to-customer event, which holds numerous editions dedicated to womenswear, will debut its ‘Kid’s Fair’ from July 8 to 11 at the Kolkata Ice Skating Rink, the event organisers announced on Facebook. The exhibition will bring together brands from across India with a focus on the bridge-to-luxury and affordable premium segments of the market.

The shopping fair will feature children’s apparel including western style clothing, occasion wear, loungewear, ethnic wear, and traditional wear. Other products which will feature include accessories, lifestyle goods, gift items, and handicrafts among others as well as goods “for Mom,” the event organisers announced on Facebook.

The event aims to tap into the fast growing children’s wear market in India which grew exponentially during the pandemic. With children’s wear brands launching, established brands launching children’s wear lines, and increased public consciousness about branded children’s wear, The Haat plans to cater to this trend with a dedicated fair.

The event is described as “East India’s largest exhibition for kids,” according to The Haat. As well as fashion stalls, the event will also feature interactive elements including workshops, a magic show, and games among others.
