Visitors to Techtextil traveled from cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Raigarh, and Mumbai to network with textile manufacturers. International visitors also attended the trade show hailing from countries including Canada, Dubai, Germany, Italy, Turkey, the UAE, UK, and US.

Exhibition space was increased by 17% compared to its previous edition. Some of the key areas the trade show focused on included smart textile machineries, recycled fibres, industrial fabrics, fire retardants, industry wearables, and other sustainable textile solutions. Discussions on technical advancements, industry growth, sustainability, and reusability of materials in technical textiles allowed businesses to share their latest solutions to promote overall advancement in the textile industry.

The first ever Techtextil Hackathon discussed solutions for technical textiles and facilitated mutual knowledge sharing. The Techtextil Symposium forecast future trends for the industry and the discussions concluded that India’s primary goal in the field of technical textiles today must be to start producing fibres largely on its own.

“A lot of quality visitors showed up and conveyed their interest in all the innovative technologies that were exhibited,” A.T.E. Enterprises Pvt Ltd’s director G V Aras said in the event’s press release. “Overall, the conference also received a tremendous response from the prominent delegates. As always, Techtextil India has succeeded in bringing all stakeholders together through this platform.”

The business-to-business event took place from November 20 to 22 at the Bombay Exhibition and Convention Centre. Techtextil will host its next edition from September 1 to 3, 2021, the event announced in a press release.
