Tata Group launches new super app 'Neu'
On April 7, Tata Group launched its new super app ‘Neu’ on the Google Play Store which brings together its businesses and offers a wide range of services from fashion to travel to insurance.
Tata Neu is designed to enable shoppers to access a wide range of Tata’s businesses to shop them in one place. The app is part of the business’ focus on the ‘mobile first’ digital market as many Indians access the internet primarily or exclusively from their mobile, making apps an important part of Indian e-commerce. The app launches to the public following several months of employee testing.
“Experience the rewarding world of Tata Neu, packed with exclusive offers, benefits and privileges,” the business wrote in a statement, Indo-Asian News Service reported. “It's your one-stop-shop for a seamless shopping and payments experience.”
The app has numerous features including rewards for users each time they use the app to shop or book services. The app also merges all of the different loyalty programmes from its various businesses including BigBasket into one loyalty programme named ‘NeuCoins’, which applies across the stores featured on the app. NeuCoins can be used to make payments across multiple Tata brand apps and websites, as well as in-store.
