Tata Consumer Products to increase workforce by up to 10%

Tata Consumer Products plans to expand its employee base by between 8% and 10% in 2022 and will continue its hiring drive over the coming months.

“In terms of hiring percentage, we end up adding approx. 8-10% each year,” Tata Consumer Products’ global CHRO Amit Chincholikar told the Economic Times. “Some of these could come as the result of integrations or partnerships that we are actively seeking.”
 
Tata Consumer Products currently has an employee base of around 3,300. The business plans to hire with a focus on areas including digital and technology, marketing, sourcing, and commercial areas of the business. The Tata Group company has an annual turnover of around Rs 11,600 crore and operates both in India and internationally. 

"Our strategy is being driven by understanding and influencing consumer preferences not just in terms of their preferences in terms of nutrition, sustainable sourcing and brand perception but also on channels and patterns of buying and consumption including digital platforms,” said Chincholikar. “Our talent strategy largely is predicated on skills that support these aspects of business.”
