Tata Cliq Luxury launches online community 'The Watch Society’

Luxury fashion and lifestyle platform Tata Cliq Luxury has launched a phygital community named  'The Watch Society’ to engage shoppers and has partnered with auction house Christie’s for the venture.

Tata Cliq’s new online community for luxury watch enthusiasts is designed to inform and educate consumers, share relevant content, facilitate conversations, and boost commerce, the business announced in a press release. The platform will feature new releases, video content, and knowledge sharing among other features with information provided by Christie’s and other industry experts. 
 
“We are excited to introduce The Watch Society, a one-stop destination for watch enthusiasts to learn more about the industry, interact, and shop from their favourite brands,” said Tata Cliq Luxury’s business head of global luxury Gitanjali Saxena in a press release. “Tata Cliq Luxury is the leader in the omni-channel luxury sector in India, and the premium and luxury watch category is a key focus for the platform. With the introduction of this unique phygital society, we will offer distinctive content and experiences that every watch enthusiast desires and establish this as a platform for watch collectors, industry experts, and leaders to come together and celebrate their passion and love for watches.”

Tata Cliq Luxury has joined forces with former Telegraph UK watch editor James Gurney who will contribute his industry knowledge to the online community. To coincide with the launch, Gurney has created a series of five videos centring around different aspects of the luxury watch industry and these will launch on Tata Cliq’s social media platforms. 
 
“Christie’s is delighted to support Tata Cliq Luxury as they continue to push the envelope in the field of luxury in India,” said Christie’s India’s managing director Sonal Singh. “As the world's leading auction house, we believe that education plays a pivotal role in creating exquisite collections. Working alongside our highly experienced Specialist teams, this association with Tata Cliq Luxury will bring to light a range of important objects to collect, their diverse price points and the rich history of the objects that make them so desirable.”
 
The platform has launched within the Tata Cliq Luxury mobile app. Future plans include live sessions led by named in jewellery and more extensive chat features for users.
