Tarun Tahiliani’s latest collection look traditional bridal silhouettes and covered them in intricate pastel embellishments and delicate hand embroidery. The garments added pearl accents to layers of fine, sheer textiles and beadwork also featured.

Jio TV streamed the fashion show to enable global audiences to tune in. The fashion show saw models accessorised with jewellery from the latest collection by jewellery sponsor Archana Aggarwal, which was shown for the first time as part of the show

“Two years back, sitting right here we shot the first collection in the pandemic, pieces of hue in the month of July in the studio,” said Tahiliani about the genesis of his new collection. “All these rooms were filled with people in full hazmat. This is our first real proper couture show and we're again taking into a new format, more than the big ramp into intimate spaces where almost everyone will be in the first row because the beauty of this craft has to be seen here up close and not something to be seen from a distance.”

India Couture Week launched on July 22 and runs until July 31 at the Taj Palace in New Delhi along with at offsite locations. The fashion week features 13 designers including Rahul Mishra, JJ Valaya, Varun Bahl, Dolly J, and Anamika Khanna among others.
