Tarun Tahiliani holds four festive showcases in India this season

Designer Tarun Tahiliani has held two India showcase events for his occasion and festive wear 2019 collection and has two more to come in Pune and Ahmedabad next month to give the cities’ shoppers a chance to view the collection in person.

Tarun Tahiliani will bring his latest collection to Pune from October 4 to 5 at Rudraksh. The showcase will feature a selection of occasion wear for both men and women from Tahiliani’s autumn/ winter 2019 ready-to-wear collection, “The Drape Series” and will allow Pune’s shoppers their first opportunity to see the collection in person.

Tahiliani will then travel to Ahmedabad to conclude his winter/ festive India tour. The designer will hold a showcase at Panache from October 11 to 12 to debut The Drape Series in the city. 

Earlier this month, Tahiliani had held showcases for the collection in Raipur at Aura from September 6 to 7 and in Nagpur, also at Aura, from September 9 to 10. Tahiliani also held a showcase for The Drape Series in Singapore earlier in the month at the Four Seasons Hotel.  

The Drape Series contrasts heavy embroidery on light, sheer textiles and features layering, loose tailoring, and neutral hues for its day wear and some of its occasion wear. Opulent lehengas and paired-down sarees also feature in reds, greens, and purples, giving the collection versatility.

Tahiliani also recently released his bridal couture and festive collection “Bloom” on Facebook. The collection features ombré sequining techniques, a mix of floral prints with 3D embroidery, and a colour palette of rich reds and purples. The collection also features Swarovski crystals and sheer textiles and Tahiliani shot the collection’s campaign inside the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.
