Tarun Tahiliani pursues interior design, creates Goa villa

Traditional wear designer Tarun Tahiliani has collaborated with the architecture firm SP+A design to create the Glass Villa, Goa, with the boutique interior architectural team run by his own design house, Ahilia Homes.

Designer Tarun Tahiliani has forayed into the world of architecture and interior design to create the Glass Villa in Goa with his design team’s business Ahilia Homes. The project shows the designer working directly with Ahilia Homes and focusing on his interior design business. The partnership has been awarded Collaboration of the Year by Architectural Digest India and the building is scheduled for completion this May and is already open for bookings.

Tahiliani has taken his modern opulent aesthetic and applied it to interior design for the Glass Villa in Goa. The building features lots of natural light, open interiors, and natural hues mixed with modern edges. Tahiliani himself has a residence in Goa and the interior design incorporates what has become Goa’s modern design aesthetic. The project was also a collaboration with the glass manufacturer Asahi India’s architectural division, Glass'x'perts.

Along with unveiling his new interior design project, Tahiliani is currently in the middle of his U.S. tour. The brand has held showcases of its traditional occasion and bridal wear in New York and New Jersey and will next travel to Arizona, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston.
