Tarun Tahiliani US Tour brings 'India by the Nile' collection to 6 cities

Designer Tarun Tahiliani will bring his latest collection, 'India by the Nile' to six American cities in April and May. The designer’s 'US Tour' will showcase his brand to a US audience and grow its presence overseas.

Tahiliani’s first stop on what he has billed as his US Tour is New Jersey where he will hold a brand showcase from April 19 to 29. Tahiliani will then take the brand to  New York on April 21 followed by Arizona on April 28. Tahiliani will end the month with an even in Los Angeles on April 30 before travelling to Chicago on May 4 and 5 and finally Houston on May 11 and 12. This pop-up store tour will give US fans a chance to shop the brand in person and will bring the label to an international audience. 

Tahiliani will be showcasing his “India by the Nile” traditional and fusion wear collection which was inspired by his team’s research trip to Egypt and the culture they found there. Mixing Indian heritage and Egyptian influences, the collection features rich embellishment on natural-hued textiles.

Tahiliani also recently showcased a collection in Chennai for the first time ever. The show was in aid of the “Keep them in School” campaign and in association with the Madras Round Table 1 which took place on March 30. 

“I am glad to be associated with Madras Round Table 1 for this cause which aims to raise funds for its “Keep Them In School” campaign,” wrote Tahiliani on his social media. “I wanted to support my dear friend Sindoori Reddy as this subject is close to my heart.” Reddy organised the runway show with Tahiliani to feature past and current collections and it took place at Chennai’s ITC Grand Chola.
