With men's shirting to be one of the rare products to be least affected by fashion over more than a century now, Tantu is all set to host its sixth annual seminar on the art of shirt making. The one day seminar to be held in New Delhi on September 15 will help Indian manufacturers to capture the lucrative global shirt market, estimated to be $50 billion in 2018.

The panel discussion and experts will be discussing the manufacturing technology and process including pattern making, fit and construction technique. While the experts from leading manufacturing and sourcing organisations from South East Asia will grace the panel discussion, the raw material and technology suppliers will present their innovative and latest offerings to augment the value of shirt.

"The manufacturing process of a shirt is a staple example in fashion colleges across India and considered as basic qualification for a men’s tailor. From ‘Rombus’, the first indigenously mass-produced quality men’s shirt brand in India by Stencil Apparel in NCR, Indian manufacturing came a long way dressing up Indian men with some of the finest shirts," Tantu, an alumni association of two textile colleges of West Bengal, said in a press release.

As a group of core professionals serving textile and allied industries, Tantu brings together experts and working professionals on a common platform to discuss, debate and deliberate on issues related to textile industry so that the industry accrue optimum benefit from the services of professionals and sustain in the competitive market.
