Tanishq set up shop in Houston, Texas for five days to launch its new ‘Romance of Polki’ collection and give local shoppers their first chance to browse it in person along with other brand classics, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council announced on its website. The trunk show featured a selection of bridal jewellery as well as lightweight, everyday pieces.

“Every Tanishq piece is crafted to be a part of someone’s journey,” said Titan’s business head for North America, Amrit Pal Singh at the launch of the event, the GJEPC reported. “From festivities to life events, milestones, and weddings to everyday events. We invite you to come visit us at the Houston Trunk Show and experience a wide array of exquisite contemporary and traditional jewellery.”

Along with the Romance of Polki collection, featuring the traditional Polki technique of setting uncut diamonds in gold foil, the trunk show also featured Tanishq’s ‘Colour Me Joy’ collection of cocktail jewellery. Pieces in the collection feature gemstones including rubies, emeralds, sapphires, citrines, and tanzanite.

“We are on a journey to build Tanishq as a global brand and are delighted to showcase our range to Indians living in Texas,” said Titan’s marketing head of its international business division Vandana Bhalla. “At the Trunk Show, we believe we have something special for everyone from work wear to bridal wear.”
