Tablez brings Spanish fashion brand Desigual to India
Tablez, the retail arm of Lulu Group International, has partnered with the Spanish fashion brand Desigual to launch the latter in the Indian market.
As part of the deal, Tablez will open six exclusive brand outlets for Desigual in leading metro cities in India next year. Desigual has already gone online in India through Tablez’s online partner, Myntra.
Commenting on the partnership, Adeeb Ahamed managing director at Tablez in a statement said: “At Tablez, it gives us immense pleasure to bring the international fashion brand Desigual to India. Desigual has a huge potential in the Indian market. Desigual will be available online through our partner –– Myntra, which has a large e-consumer base. Exclusive Desigual outlets will launch in India in the first quarter of 2020.”
Jordi Balsells, vice president of Asia Pacific of Desigual added: “India is a market whose values are very similar to Desigual’s. It’s also a young market that is growing and displays great potential. We believe very strongly in India’s potential in the coming years.”
Desigual currently has more than 3,700 employees in some 100 countries, 13 distribution channels, and eight product categories.
Tablez had earlier brought global brands like Springfield, Women’s Secret, Go Sport and Yoyoso to India.
