TCNS Clothing Q3 net profit up 35 percent to Rs 37 crore

Women’s apparel maker TCNS Clothing Co Ltd witnessed a 35 percent rise in its net profit to Rs 37 crore ($5.2 million) for the third quarter as against Rs 27 crore it reported during the same period last fiscal.
 

The company’s net sales also jumped 22 percent to Rs 300 crore on the back of strong festive season sales during the October-December period. It had posted revenue of Rs 245 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
 
TCNS Clothing’s EBITDA stood at Rs 53 crore in December 2018 up 30 from Rs 40 crore in December 2017. The company’s total sales for the nine month period this fiscal were Rs 863 crore as compared to Rs 748 crore during the earlier nine month period while its net profit was Rs 99 crore as against Rs 76 crore.

TCNS Clothing retails its garments under several labels including W, Aurelia and Wishful. The business has over 400 exclusive brand outlets across India for its various brands as well as 1,305 large format store outlets and 1,361 multi-brand outlets. The business also has a presence in Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Mauritius.
