Swatch opens watch store in Mumbai

Swiss watch brand Swatch has opened a new brick-and-mortar outlet in Palladium Mall in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The new store retails a range of Swatch’s product lines, including its exclusive Bioceramic Moon Swatch Collection.

Swatch’s new opening in India marks the brand’s brick-and-mortar return to the country, NewsVoir reported. The store measures 20 metres squared and is designed to offer shoppers an immersive and interactive customer experience.
 
The brand’s Bioceramic Moon Swatch Collection has launched in the store to pay tribute to the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, the first watch ever to be worn on the moon. The collection is made up of 11 models which each reference a different planet in the solar system. The collection launched earlier in 2022 and is available at select Swatch stores and pop-up locations. 

Swiss watch brand Swatch was launched in 1983 by Nicolas Hayek. The brand’s watches are made up of just 51 parts, far fewer than most watches, and this has enabled the brand to price its watches at an accessible price. The brand continues to add new watch collections to its product portfolio and creates a new Swatch design on average every one and a half days, according to the brand, Livemint reported.
