The ring is set with completely natural diamonds which are KPCS certificate obtained, the brand announced on Facebook. The ring was designed by National Institute of Design graduate Rijisha T.V. and was manufactured for SWA Diamonds in the Malappuram district of Kerala.

“It is our privilege and honour that this ring was made in India and also the owner of the ring is an Indian,” said SWA Diamonds’ managing director Abdul Gafur Anadiyan, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council reported. “‘The Touch of Ami’ also marks the triumph of entrepreneurship in the diamond sector of our state.”

The ring overtook the previous world record holding ring which set with 12,638 diamonds. SWA Diamonds was launched by diamond jewellery wholesaler Capestone Ventures Private Limited.

“The ring was made in the theme of a mushroom,” wrote SWA Diamonds on Facebook. “The mushroom represents immortality and longevity. The ring is named ‘Ami’ meaning immortality.”
