Surat Sparkle Gems and Jewellery Exhibition to showcase 160 exhibitors this December

The Surat Sparkle Gems and Jewellery Exhibition will take place from December 13 to 16 in Gujarat and will bring over 160 exhibitors, 8,500 trade visitors, and 2,000 buyers from the gem and jewellery industry to the state.

The upcoming business-to-business trade show is organised by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and aims to provide jewellery businesses with a platform from which to network, exchange ideas, discover upcoming trends and generate business opportunities, according to the event’s website. The event expects to welcome international delegations from various countries and describes itself as “the most popular B2B expo in Gujarat for business persons associated with the gems and jewellery industry.” 

The trade show will focus on manufacturing and value addition and showcase jewellery by some of India’s largest manufacturers and exporters. The Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre will host the event and product categories will include gold and silver jewellery, loose diamonds, gemstones, diamond jewellery, jewellery institutes, and machinery among others.

Surat is known as the diamond hub of India. The area has experienced somewhat of a slowdown in its diamond cutting industry due to global economic issues and the rise of synthetic stones but initiatives such as the Surat Sparkle trade show aims to reinvigorate the industry.
