For the Superdry chain, the latest quarter ended on 24 October was not quite as strong as the previous quarter but it was still satisfying. Its parent group, Supergroup, has reported a nearly 29% growth compared to the same period last year, with nearly £92 million.

On a comparable scale, sales progressed 15.5%.

For the first semester, Supergroup has reported nearly £255 million in turnover, up 22.4%. Its retail sales increased 30.9% to more than £172 million, with a 17.2% increase on a comparable basis.

The company added that it had appointed former Tesco executive Nick Tatum as global retail director, with responsibility for the retail operations and logistics.

For its wholsale sales, Supergroup recorded an 8% increase, standing at nearly £83 million pounds for the quarter. Last year, it saw an only 2% increase. However, this can be explained by the integration of its North American activity and the strengthening of the pound compared to the euro.

The group is present in 51 countries with 613 stores and spaces in department stores.
