The new Superdry store has been decorated in the style of the brand’s other international outlets with a classic vintage theme and the brand’s signature fixtures. Cage-like boxes and iron rod racks sit throughout the store to give a rustic look.

“We are very excited to open our first store in Guwahati,” said Superdry’s business head Manu Sharma, according to the brand’s press release. “This city is a new market for us but it is the perfect time for Superdry to enter this region and we are certain of receiving a great response for our brand. City Centre is the most happening mall and houses a number of Indian and international brands, making it our first choice.”

The brand is looking to widen the reach of its audience, according to its press release, with new stores and increased product lines expected to contribute to the creation of a broader reach in India.

Superdry first entered India in 2012 through a partnership and distribution agreement with Reliance IndustriesReliance Brands. Superdry now has over 40 stores in the country.
