The third edition of the India Licensing Expo organised by Licence India expects over 5,000 retails and manufacturers to attend and view the products of over 400 exhibitors. The business-to-business event will cover a number of industries including fashion and beauty and allow businesses to network and forge licensing agreements to grow their distribution networks.

Actress Sunny Leone will launch her fashion brand at the India Licensing Expo next week. Infamous by StarStruck, Lingerie by Sunny Leone will feature mainly inner wear and lounge wear for its initial launch along with some accessories. Leone will be one of the main faces of the expo, according to its press release, and will use the event to explore licensing programmes with retailers and manufacturers.

“Brand Licensing is pegged at $231 billion-dollar industry globally and brands worldwide have started to embrace it,” Licence India’s chairman Gaurav Marya said, according to the event’s press release.

“All brands are today asking themselves: 'what and how to do the new?' These two big questions could further open more doors than ever before. India Licensing Expo is all about these possibilities.”

The event will also feature a 'Labels Conference' knowledge forum, which will feature a panel including Reliance Retail’s chief operations controller Ashwin Khasgiwala. The two-day event will also allow businesses to forecast trends for the upcoming season.
