Suneet Varma ends IBFW 2017 with magnificent grand finale

Leading couturier Suneet Varma presented his latest collection bringing the curtains down on the fourth edition of India Beach Fashion Week (IBFW) 2017 on Wednesday.

A large number of fashionistas on Wednesday night attended the show, which presented 32 looks inspired from Hollywood glamour, with Studio 54 music and youthful dressing.

"The collection features a range of gowns, from formal evening shapes to light, flirty dresses in shaded chiffons and light weight silk organza. The structured gowns are voluminous and made in silk taffeta and knits to create asymmetrical drapes that are close to the body." Varma told a news agency.

The colour pallet ranged from browns, blues to vermilion red and sienna.

Asked about the colours and the work, he said: "For the first time using very bold shades...I have worked on this range creating large skirts with multi coloured sequin embroideries in contemporary artworks and placements. The formal evening gowns have trails and placements of hand embroidered lace."

The highlight of the show was the use of jewellery. The models were seen flaunting elaborate headgear and oversize earrings.
