Suneet Varma opened a store in New Delhi’s DLF Emporio in 2013 and Ravi Bajaj opened one in the mall in 2014. Both designers often held joint fashion shows and the Delhi event saw them return to the joint runway as the designers both celebrated 35 years in fashion.

“You can call these our festive collections,” Varma told Vogue India about the looks showcased. “For us, though, they’re a showcase of our creative processes, of the things we love to design and present.”

Ravi Bajaj opened the show with a menswear collection which transitioned into a women’s occasion wear showcase, DLF Emporio announced on Facebook. The looks featured classic lines and sharp tailoring. Suneet Varma then presented an array of embellished lehengas which mixed sportswear references with classic traditional glamour. The show featured a joint total of 55 looks.

“For our first 10 years, we did all our shows together,” Varma told Vogue India. “Each season, and in Delhi as well as Mumbai. It was always Ravi who began, and I who closed.” This time the designers kept to tradition and ran the show in the same order as times past.
