Suket Dhir to show 'He for She' collection at LMIFW

Suket Dhir will show a collection entitled “He for She” at the upcoming edition of Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week (LMIFW) that will feature nature-inspired prints for both men and women.

The designer made his first foray into womenswear in November 2018 but has fully embraced the demographic, as his latest collection is equal parts for men and women.

“He for She” will display a contrast between wearable and structured tailoring and soft, nature-inspired prints. Forest scenes and florals adorn tailored blazers for both men and women and the colour palette features browns, greens, mustard yellow, and white. 

Dhir himself also previewed some images from the collection on his brand’s social media that showed softer, more floaty silhouettes in the form of robe dresses and shirts. The brand’s signature “golfer” print will also feature.

“Weaving magic into clothing with structured silhouettes and contemporary brocade work, explore SUKETDHiR’s collection at #LMIFW AW19,” wrote LMIFW on its social media page, sharing snapshots from the brand’s fitting session. Dhir will present his collection on day one of the fashion week, March 13. LMIFW will fun until March 16 and will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. 

NIFT graduate Suket Dhir founded his eponymous label and soon won the 2015/2016 International Woolmark Prize in the menswear category. Dhir describes his style as “minimalist” and a “wanderer”.
