Mumbai-based Suditi Industries Ltd has signed a licensing deal with French capital's iconic football club Paris Saint-Germain.

The deal will give Suditi Industries the rights to manufacture apparels/garments using PSG trademarks and sell them in the Indian market. The contract will be valid up to June 2020.
The partnership with Suditi is expected to boost the visibility of the Qatari-owned Paris team in India which has popular soccer players like Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Gianluigi Buffon among many others. On the other hand, Suditi will look to cash in on the popularity of the players in India to boost sales.
“Paris Saint-Germain is the organization responsible for the management of PSG Football Club's professional activities. Accordingly, they have granted SIL the right to use PSG intellectual property rights for commercial purposes. As per the license contract, SIL is entitled to use the trademarks, logos, copyright material, patents, copyright, knowledge, drawings of the PSG merchandising on the apparels/garments manufactured by SIL,” Suditi Industries said in a statement.
Suditi had got into a similar agreement with the US-based NBA Properties in December 2018 to manufacture and sell NBA merchandise in the country.
Suditi Industries has posted a revenue of Rs 26 crore ($3.7 million) for the third quarter ended December with a net profit of Rs 1 crore.
