As summer approaches, several brands have unveiled exclusive collaborations. Supreme has once again joined forces with Nike, Daily Paper teamed up with Beats, Tommy Jeans and the NBA paid homage to the 1990s, Uniqlo partnered with the Final Fantasy video game series, while Bricks & Wood and K-Swiss paid tribute to African-American designers. Streetwear is certainly stealing the spotlight this month of May.

The streetwear brand Supreme’s spring 2022 capsule collection, made in collaboration with the sportswear giant Nike, was released on May 26.

Available on the New York-based brand’s online website, the streetwear lineup consists of corduroy hoodies, cargo pants as well as cotton sweatpants. In addition, the collection includes crewneck sweaters and caps that are also available in camouflage print.

Daily Paper x Beats - Daily Paper

Daily Paper, the Dutch streetwear label founded by Hussein Suleiman, Abderrahmane Trabsini and Jefferson Osei, teamed up with the brand Beats By Dre to create a pair of wireless headphones inspired by New York’s 1980s and 1990s hip-hop and graffiti scene.

The water resistant headphones, available since May 26 on the ready-to-wear brand’s e-shop and in select stores, retail for 149.95 euros and have a 24 hour battery life. The white earbuds’ design features the Beats b logo in black and a graffiti-inspired version of the Daily Paper logo in red.

"Music is an essential part of our brand identity, as it allows us to bring communities together. Working with Beats has always been on our list of desired collaborations," said Abderrahmane Trabsini, one of Daily Paper’s co-founders.

The alliance between the two brands was established last year when they created a pouch made from 100% recyclable materials in celebration of Earth Day.

Tommy Jeans x NBA - Tommy Jeans

Tommy Jeans joined forces with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to create a limited edition unisex collection inspired by 1990s streetwear.

The spring 2022 sports-inspired collection is available now on Tommy Jeans online website and stores and consists of hoodies, sweatpants, fleece shorts and T-shirts printed with NBA team logos. Prices range from 59.90 euros for a T-shirt to 299.90 euros for a bomber jacket.

Recently, the brand has collaborated with international tennis champion Rafael Nadal and world champion Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.

Uniqlo x Final Fantasy - Uniqlo

Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo unveiled its first collaboration with the renowned Role Playing video game franchise Final Fantasy for its 35th anniversary. The collection has been available since a few days ago on Uniqlo’s e-shop and throughout all its stores.

Uniqlo is offering a range of T-shirts highlighting the video game's different graphics through pixel art drawings (in reference to its early days) and depicts key characters and scenes from the game. This capsule collection includes sixteen designs priced at 14.90 euros.

By scanning the app, Uniqlo members will be given an exclusive set of collector's cards at checkout in select stores.

Bricks & Wood x K-Swiss - Bricks & Wood

Streetwear label Bricks & Wood and sneaker brand K-Swiss have launched a new collaboration that celebrates the creativity of black designers. The seven-piece collection includes two tracksuit sets, two T-shirts and a pair of sneakers rendered in shades of gray and cream.

The collection’s products stamped with the words ‘For Daily Use Design Program’ pay tribute to Dazo Anderson, founder of Bricks & Wood and K-Swiss’ first black shoe designer.

Prices range from 48 euros for a T-shirt to 138 euros for a sweater.

Patou x Le Chameau - Patou

For the first time, Patou has released an exclusive collaboration with French rainboot specialist Le Chameau. The capsule consists of two shoe models made of natural rubber: the boot and its mid-calf counterpart and the ankle boot available in both black and lilac.

Fans of the rain boot brand will be able to find their perfect shoe in mid-June on Patou’s online website and in select stores. These special edition boots are a tribute to French craftsmanship and savoir-faire all while respecting the environment.
