Stefano Pilati is leaving the creative management team at Agnona. The former artistic director at Yves Saint Laurent was recruited in 2013 by Italian group Ermenegildo Zegna to relaunch the women's ready-to-wear knitwear brand that is part of its portfolio. "The agreement was for two years, at the end of which the collaboration came to an end," said a spokesperson for the company.

However, Stefano Pilati is not leaving the luxury Italian house since he will continue to oversee the high-end Ermenegildo Zegna Couture line, which will now show in place of the group's main collection.

"Stefano Pilati is staying with us for menswear. The possibility is there if he wants to collaborate with another womenswear brand," the group specified.

The next Agnona collection for spring/summer 2016, which will be presented in September, which Stefano Pilati had started work on, will be completed by an internal design team.

"We are going to reorganise Agnona's creative team. Among the possible options is also the possibility to call on a new designer," said the house, which confirmed its intention to continue to invest in the womenswear brand.
