Stalkbuylove has run out of cash, two sources told ET Bureau. The online store, which retails a range of women’s traditional and western wear, has experienced difficulties for the past six months after a funding round fell through, said the sources.

Until August 9, the business was still posting regular updates to its Facebook page to promote its products and also advertised a 70% off clearance sale. However, there have been no posts since then and some of the more recent posts have complaints in the comments below, suggesting that customers are not receiving orders, while according to to reports, suppliers are also going unpaid.

“Will take money and won't ship the product,” wrote one customer on Facebook. Another wrote “Got my refund,” although this was responded to with “Lucky you” by several users.

As well as customers, some influencers and stylists who have worked for the brand complained about not getting paid. “The company has refused to pay us for assignments that we did months ago and not just us, there are many bloggers, photographers, stylists who have not been paid,” said Roshni Bhatia, as reported by ET Bureau. “The customers have also not received deliveries of their orders.”

Stalkbuylove was launched in 2012 and was backed by Kalaari Capital, 500 Startups, and the German business Littlerock. The online store has yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
