Stage3 plans to launch a new feature on its clothing rental platform that syncs renters’ calendars into the platform to keep up-to-date with their social events and dress-up needs, the business’ co-founder Sabena Puri told YourStory. The rental business is finding success with Indian millennials who seek branded clothing and see little stigma in renting designer looks.

“We are also focusing on a number of experiential marketing initiatives such as our Fashion March and our campaign with Rhea Kapoor, to spread greater awareness about our rental model,” said Puri.

“In the long run, we see designer-led rentals becoming the norm for dress up, both in India and globally.”

In response to the Covid-19 crisis and lockdown, Stage3 has set upon a number on online ‘community events’ to discuss mental health, wellness, and styling among other topics, the business announced on Facebook. The live sessions are designed to keep customers engaged whilst business remains shut.

Sabena Puri, Sanchit Baweja, and Rina Dhaka founded Stage3 in Delhi as a fashion rental service in 2016. Stage3 acts as the business’ clothing rental service and Alaya by Stage3 acts as the business’ commerce model. The business recently launched ‘India’s first fashion on wheels’ mobile clothing rental bus which can drive to different locations to offer its clothing rental services.
