Sri Sri Tattva to strengthen retail presence, boost exports

Indian fast-moving consumer goods and healthcare brand Sri Sri Tattva is planning to strengthen its foothold in the Indian market with the addition of 1,000 stores over the next few months.

The company will take the franchise route to open these stores with a focus on tier 2, 3 cities for growth. Sri Sri Tattva will also boost its exports to tap the international markets.
 
"We will open 1,000 stores in the coming months. We want to deepen our rural connect along with tier 2 and tier 3 cities. We already have about 2,700 entrepreneurs. We train them to be entrepreneurs and they start their own business.  We would like to create 25,000 such entrepreneurs by year-end, Arvind Varchaswi, managing director at Sri Sri Tattva, told Moneycontrol.

“The brand is looking to export its products to 70 countries at least by this year-end. Currently, the Ayurveda brand exports to 36 countries spreading from Australia, Nigeria, Germany, USA, UAE, and Argentina,” he added.
 
Sri Sri Tattva has been investing heavily on the marketing of its products and earmarked an investment of Rs 200 crore ($30 million) to make deeper inroads in the country booming ayurveda market. Sri Sri Tattva sells natural beauty products and clothing among other FMCG products.
