Spanish label Delpozo leaves New York to show at London Fashion Week
Fashion Week calendars are fluid entities, and they change to reflect fashion designers' migration patterns. In the last few seasons, Paris has welcomed several US names, such as Thom Browne, Joseph Altuzarra, Rodarte and Proenza Schouler. Now it is London's turn to host a brand formerly showing in New York, Spanish fashion label Delpozo.

"After ten seasons in New York, we thought it was the right time to change," said Carla Vazquez, the label's Director of Communication, to FashionNetwork.com. Among the factors which influenced this choice is the opening of a store on London's Sloane Street last year, the second store for the label owned by Perfumes Y Diseño (PYD) after the one in Madrid, where Delpozo is based.
"[Delpozo's] Creative Director Josep Font comes often to London, a city he loves, where he took part last year in the Victoria & Albert Museum exhibition dedicated to Balenciaga," added Carla Vazquez.
The Spanish high-end women's ready-to-wear label, renowned for its highly structured silhouettes and signature volumes, will show in London from next February, during the fashion week for the Autumn/Winter 2018-19.
